A free editor, in beta

RGIE Maker presents itself as an aid for drawing and theoretical checking, focused on residential work. The diagram is organised into panel, RCDs and circuits; with every change, the tool flags issues with the reference of the Book 1 article and the suggested fix. The site announces the tool as a beta: its changelog shows versions from April and May 2026, then a restart announced on 15 September 2026 (version 0.2.32).

If RGIE Maker suits you

To draw a residential diagram and check its rules for free, RGIE Maker is a good option. Amperio adds the floor plan linked to the diagram, dictation, importing an existing diagram as a PDF or photo, the full PDF file for the approved body and job follow-up, in French and Dutch.

Moving from RGIE Maker to Amperio

Ongoing files: export the diagram from RGIE Maker as a PDF, then import it into Amperio. RCDs, breakers and circuits are rebuilt; you review the result before carrying on, and everything stays editable by hand. An existing plan, as a PDF or a photo, imports the same way.

Archives: nothing forces you to migrate them. Keep the old files in RGIE Maker and open new projects in Amperio.
