Single-line diagram software: 16 tools for the Belgian RGIE compared
What each publisher states on its own site, checked on the same day: prices on a common basis, RGIE checks, input, site management. And for each tool, the electrician it suits best.
Updated 5 October 2026 · 16 tools · By François Jacquemart, co-founder of Amperio, one of the tools compared
In short
16 tools offer a single-line diagram for the Belgian RGIE with a published or announced price. Trikker remains the most widespread according to its publisher (over 14,000 electricians); its Mac version has been in beta since 30 September 2026.
Eight generate the diagram from the plan; eight, Amperio included, describe RGIE checks as you enter data. The others claim compliance without describing an automatic check, or leave checking to the user.
Subscriptions and annual licences, excluding VAT: from €157 (Volter, announced) to €374.40 (Amperio, launch price). Amperio is the most expensive among those publishing an annual price, with dictation, site management and team included. Voltuno sells a €20 lifetime licence; others charge per file, from €12.40 (Masoël) to €25 (1filaire).
Three announce voice input: Amperio (diagram and plan dictated room by room), Sparkling (the dictated visit, which becomes a quote then a diagram) and Voltuno (in its changelog).
For following the job itself, according to the sites: tasks, before and after photos and team at Amperio; photographed defects and repair tracking at SUPLAN. Others extend the file in other ways: Peppol invoicing at schemaunifilaire.app, the ACEG inspection request at As Built Plan.
The table, checked on 5 October 2026
One row per tool: Amperio first because it publishes the page, the others in alphabetical order, with no ranking. On a phone, swipe the table sideways; the tool name stays in view.

12-month cost: the cheapest plan that covers professional use by one person, excluding VAT. Prices including VAT are divided by 1.21; when a site does not state VAT, the figure is used as published. For per-project pricing, the basis is 24 projects a year.
“Announced”: price published for the end of a beta or early access, not yet billed.
The checks described help prepare the inspection. The approved inspection body always has the final say on compliance.

There is no best tool in the absolute. Based on the table, here are the ones that fit each way of working.
A few files a year
A free plan or per-file pricing is enough: Voltuno (€20 lifetime licence), schemaunifilaire.app (one free diagram up to 15 circuits), 1filaire (free drawing, €25 per exported project), PlanElektra (€17 per file, in Dutch) or Masoël (€15 incl. VAT per PDF).
At the office, on a Windows PC
Trikker is the most widespread and works offline; Schematicals and Listrik generate the diagram from the plan. To switch tools without redrawing everything, 1filaire, Voltuno and Condui import Trikker files.
The diagram that follows the plan
You place points on the plan and the diagram is generated: PlanElec, Volter, SUPLAN, ElectriCAD, Schematicals, Listrik, PlanElektra and As Built Plan announce it.
RGIE checks as you enter
PlanElec publishes its 56 checks; Volter, Condui, Sparkling, PlanElektra, SUPLAN and Amperio also describe what they check. schemaunifilaire.app announces an automatic error check without publishing its rules.
On site, even without network
Volter (native apps), Condui (installable app) and SUPLAN (iOS app) work offline. Amperio keeps recent projects viewable and lets you create tasks, photos and voice notes without network; editing the diagram needs a connection.
Dictating instead of drawing
Amperio: you dictate room by room, the diagram and plan build up. Sparkling: the dictated visit becomes a quote, then the diagram, without a floor plan. Voltuno announces dictation in its changelog. PlanElec and PlanElektra offer a written AI assistant.
Working as a team
PlanElec, ElectriCAD, Condui, 1filaire, Voltuno (monthly plan), As Built Plan and Amperio provide team work.
Following the job too
Amperio brings tasks, before and after photos, voice notes and team into the project. SUPLAN tracks photographed defects until they are repaired. schemaunifilaire.app adds Peppol invoicing, As Built Plan the ACEG inspection request.
Solar and EV chargers
As Built Plan offers reusable templates and the ACEG inspection request via SPOQ; Schematicals draws solar diagrams; PlanElec covers solar and KNX.
Amperio in 30 seconds
Amperio is one of the 16. Here is what it does, as it appears on screen: the diagram drawn or dictated, the plan that follows, the RGIE file.

Checking the RGIE while you draw, or claiming compliance?
Almost every site says “RGIE compliant”. Read what it covers: for some, standard symbols and a compliant layout; for others, rules checked as you draw (cable size and circuit protection, RCDs, number of sockets, bathroom zones, depending on the tool). The “RGIE checks” column tells the two apart.
In every case, the approved inspection body has the final say on the installation's compliance.
Do the diagram and the plan stay in step?
The inspection file contains the single-line diagram and the floor plan, with the same circuit numbering. Three approaches exist: the diagram generated from the plan, both documents kept together in one project, or two separate drawings. The first two spare you from carrying each on-site change over by hand.
What does it really cost over a year?
Three models coexist: limited free plans (one diagram, a number of circuits, or a watermarked PDF), paying per project, and subscriptions. The “12-month cost” column brings everything to the same basis. For a few files a year, a limited free plan or per-project pricing costs less; beyond that, compare annual plans and what they cover: the PDF, the plan, the checks, the number of devices.
Paper, AutoCAD and Visio
Paper remains the fastest way to sketch a first draft, and the inspection body accepts a legible, complete handwritten file. It does not update itself: every change on site means redrawing.
AutoCAD and Visio draw any diagram, but without an RGIE symbol library or any notion of compliance, at a price designed for full CAD. They keep their place in an engineering office where the electrical file is part of a larger DWG project.
The other tools we found
Our monitoring also lists free tools, services that draw the file for you, and software built for France. They are left out of the table because they answer a different question; one line each, checked on their site on 4 October 2026.
Free, with no paid plan
Atlas Contrôle : a free questionnaire that produces the PDF for an extension (EV charger or solar) with an RGIE legend, offered by an inspection body.
Eendraadschema (Goethals) : free and open source, in Dutch; complex diagrams (home automation, inverters, contactors), PDF and SVG export.
Gen-Schema : free, offline in the browser; you place points on the plan and the single-line diagram is generated.
GratisElektrischeSchemas : free, in Dutch, aimed at homeowners: the house in 3D, then the diagram and plan generated and checked.
QElectroTech : free software (Windows, Mac, Linux) for electrical diagrams in general, with no Belgian library or rules.
RGIE Maker : free, no account, in French; more than 30 Book 1 rules checked in real time, with the article cited.
Having your file drawn for you
Dimenzo : the file drawn by a technician and delivered as a PDF, €49 to €349 excl. VAT depending on the home (indicative prices).
Studio Singleline : the file drawn from your photos and sketches, €150 to €450 excl. VAT depending on the home.
Built for France (NF C 15-100), not for the RGIE
CTOOL : mobile site app: calculations (cable size, conduit, RCD) and the NF C 15-100 reference.
Ohmbase : plan, single-line diagram, panel, scheduling, photo reports and team, for the French standard.
Planelico : you annotate the architect's plan, then circuits and panel are generated.
SmartElec : mobile app with an electrical AI you can ask in writing or by voice, calculators and guides.
Sparkium : in beta: AI-generated panel, labels and supplier price comparison.
Method
Who is in the table: every single-line diagram tool for the Belgian RGIE with a published or announced price, for electricians or homeowners, that our monitoring found as of 4 October 2026 (Google and Brave search in Belgium, Google and Meta ad libraries, electricians' forums and groups). Free tools with no paid plan, drawing services and French software are listed separately.
How it was checked: every cell comes from the vendor's official site, consulted and printed to PDF on 5 October 2026, with date and address in the footer. We did not test competing tools or create accounts with them: the table states what each vendor announces, not what we think of it.
What the cells mean: “not stated” is never turned into “no”. Prices are shown as published, then converted to 12 months excluding VAT in a separate column.
Conflict of interest: Amperio publishes this page and appears in the table. It sits on the first row and is labelled as such; the others follow alphabetically, with no ranking or score.
Updates: re-checked every month, and as soon as a pricing page we monitor changes. A vendor can request a correction at support@amperio.be; it is made at the same address, with a new date.
Framework: comparative advertising under article VI.17 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. Verifiable facts, compared for the same needs, without disparagement.
It depends on how you work. At the office on Windows, Trikker is the most widespread. For a few files a year, Voltuno, schemaunifilaire.app or 1filaire cost little. For RGIE checks described as you enter: PlanElec, Volter, Condui or Amperio. To dictate and follow the job in the same tool: Amperio. The table compares all 16 on the same criteria.
Yes, with limits: schemaunifilaire.app (one diagram up to 15 circuits, PDF without watermark), Voltuno (one diagram of 8 circuits), ElectriCAD (unlimited projects, watermarked PDF) or 1filaire (free drawing, paid export). PlanElec, Volter and Sparkling are free during their beta or early access. Eendraadschema (Goethals), RGIE Maker and Gen-Schema are entirely free.
In beta since 30 September 2026: Trikker 2.0 runs on Apple silicon Macs with macOS 13 or later. The production version remains Windows 10 and 11; a web version for Android and iPad is announced with no date.
According to their sites: PlanElec (56 published checks), Volter, Condui, Sparkling, PlanElektra, SUPLAN and Amperio describe what they check; schemaunifilaire.app announces an automatic error check. The others claim compliance without describing an automatic check. None replaces the approved inspection body.
Three tools announce it: Amperio, where you dictate room by room and the diagram and plan build up; Sparkling, where the dictated visit becomes a quote then a diagram; Voltuno, in its July 2026 changelog.
1filaire, Voltuno and Condui import Trikker files (.trik). PlanElec and Amperio take a Trikker PDF export and rebuild its content; you review the result.
Excluding VAT, subscriptions and annual licences range from €157 (Volter, announced) to €374.40 (Amperio, launch price), most between €240 and €300. Voltuno sells a €20 lifetime licence. For a few files a year, per-file prices range from €12.40 (Masoël) to €25 (1filaire).
